Work zones are different from work areas. A work zone is the area of the roadway that starts from the first advanced warning sign that reads ‘road work ahead’ and ending with the last advanced warning sign that reads ‘end road work’. On the contrary, a work area is where the actual work is getting done by the client.

A TMA, otherwise known as a truck-mounted attenuator, is designed to absorb high-impact collisions and is used as a protection vehicle. These are used while the flagger team is setting up on roads with high speed limits.

• Your name, phone number, and the company you work for.
• The company that should be billed or the owner of the project.
• The foreman’s name and number
• The date, address, and start time
• Any additional information, details, or special requests.
